It applies to verifyhomeinspector.com in all its languages and to the services you book with us, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 on data protection and digital rights (LOPDGDD).

4. Other people’s data

In an inspection or an expert report it is common to come across data of third parties: the seller, the developer, the builder, a tradesperson, the insurer or the neighbours. We process it only as far as the job requires, on the basis of the legitimate interest in defending your rights and the performance of the contract. If you give us other people’s data, you must be entitled to do so and have informed them where the law requires it.

5. Who receives it

We do not sell or share your data for marketing purposes. Only the following receive it, as far as necessary:

  • Sered (Soluciones Web On Line, S.L.U.), our web hosting and email provider, as data processor, with data centres in Spain.
  • Associate experts of Verify Home Inspector, when they handle your job.
  • Courts, lawyers, court representatives and other parties to the proceedings, when the report is submitted in proceedings or in a claim at your request.
  • The Spanish Tax Agency and, where applicable, our accounting and tax advisers, to meet legal obligations.
  • The professional liability insurer, only if there were a claim related to the service.

6. International transfers

We do not transfer your data outside the European Economic Area. If you choose to contact us by WhatsApp, that service is provided by Meta Platforms, which processes data under its own policy and may transfer it to the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. If you prefer, use the form, email or phone.

7. Your rights

You may at any time exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability, and withdraw any consent you have given, without affecting what was done before. Write to us at stating which right you are exercising. If we have doubts about your identity, we may ask you for additional information to confirm it. We will reply within one month, which may be extended in the cases provided for in the GDPR.

If you believe we have not handled your request properly, you may lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, C/ Jorge Juan 6, 28001 Madrid, www.aepd.es).

We do not take decisions based solely on automated processing and we do not create profiles.

8. Minors

Our services are not aimed at children under 14 and we do not knowingly process their data. If you are under 14, please do not send us personal data.

9. Security

We apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk: encrypted connection (HTTPS), requests stored outside the public part of the website with restricted access, protection against automated submissions and backups. Reports and documents are delivered through a private channel.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the services, the website or the law change. The version in force is the one published on this page, with its update date. If the change is significant and we have your contact details, we will let you know.
